Maddy Moo started as one woman’s dream which has quickly developed into a growing design you own handbag and accessory company. Elizabeth Chester was inspired to begin her own company after working over 10 years in a large financial institution in downtown Atlanta. The ultimate catalyst in Elizabeth’s decision to leave the bustle of downtown Atlanta was the birth of her second child, Alex. Elizabeth wanted to have a career that allowed her to move forward with her own goals as well as allowing her to spend more time with her children, Madalyn and Alex. Finally in 2005, Elizabeth’s dream became a reality when she founded Maddy Moo Creations, appropriately named after the nickname of her daughter, Madalyn.   Maddy Moo Creations allows women to design their own handbags and accessories after picking from the various fabrics and styles that are offered as part of the Maddy Moo collection.  

MORE THAN HANDBAGS

 But Maddy Moo is more than just a handbag company. As we are all well aware, the economy has suffered a major blow in the past year. However Maddy Moo offers women a career opportunity to thrive in this economy while enjoying and believing in the things that they do.  Maddy Moo’s consultants become a part of the Maddy Moo family and are able to operate from the comfort of their own homes! But what does a Maddy Moo consultant do exactly, you may ask.  Well the answer is simple, find hostesses who will throw purse parties!! Similar to the make-up parties that are thrown by Mary-Kay consultants, the majority of Maddy Moo’s business results from consultants seeking out a willing hostess. The hostess then invites girlfriends over for a fun afternoon of handbag designing. The consultant is armed with the Maddy Moo Consultant Kit, which allows the attendees of these “purse parties” to see samples of the variety of fabrics and styles Maddy Moo has to offer.  Once the consultant presents the materials the attendees are free to design away! The possibilities are limitless at these events, and allow each attendee to design a bag as unique and special as she is.
